Walking Tour: Africatown Experience Givers

Locals and visitors are invited to explore the city and enjoy a guided tour designed to educate participants on a variety of topics involving Mobile culture, ecology, art and more!

All tours will begin at 10 a.m. each Saturday, departing from the Visit Mobile Welcome Center (located inside the History Museum of Mobile) in Downtown Mobile unless otherwise noted. The tours will return around 11 a.m. and are free to the public. No reservations are required.

Our tour will highlight the legacy of slavery in Mobile, from the arrival of the first enslaved Africans to the rediscovery of the Clotilda, the last American slave ship. Throughout the tour, knowledgeable guides join us as we embark on a journey through time to uncover the untold stories of downtown Mobile and honor the resilience of those who endured unimaginable hardships in the pursuit of freedom.
